Define the product family
HPHT means high-pressure, high-temperature growth. It describes a laboratory diamond growth route and must not be confused with a separate use of high pressure and temperature as a treatment process. For jewellery buyers, the finished selection still depends on the actual dimensions, grading information, visual appearance and supply format. A round melee packet and a single center stone need different acceptance records even when HPHT growth is requested. This page helps define that requirement and connect it to the appropriate product discussion; it does not claim that all illustrated goods or sizes are available in HPHT-grown form.

A category page should help you compare options before you submit an enquiry.
State whether HPHT is being requested as the growth method. Ask separately about post-growth treatment disclosure where relevant. The same abbreviation should not be allowed to hide two different questions in the sourcing conversation.
A round center needs actual diameters and depth. Melee needs an agreed diameter or sieve interval. A pair needs group matching criteria in addition to each-stone data. The growth-method requirement does not replace these fields.
Ask what documents or other agreed information support the stated growth method. Individual center-stone reports and parcel documentation may differ. Do not imply identical document coverage across every supply format.
Evaluate the actual stone or parcel against the quality brief, purchase unit and design requirements. Confirm availability, quantities and quotation terms for that selection rather than inferring them from an HPHT category label.
06 / A practical comparison
Compare the properties that change the purchasing decision, then review the actual selected stones or parcel.
| Product format | HPHT-related brief | Independent acceptance criteria |
|---|---|---|
| Round center stone | Growth-method requirement and report | Diameter, depth, appearance and actual grades |
| Round melee parcel | Method preference and batch documentation | Size interval, count/weight and parcel appearance |
| Matched pair | Method requirement for both proposed stones | Each-stone data and visual pair matching |
| Fancy-color goods | Actual origin and treatment disclosure | Color reference and report wording |

A circular center works with a range of solitaire concepts, but the sourcing task remains specific: match diameter, height clearance and visual standard to the actual ring head. Include a drawing or existing mount dimensions before comparing proposed stones, especially when replacing a center stone in a retained setting.

Pavé shoulders and halos use many small round stones in a close layout. Supply the seat dimensions and design count, then review the parcel’s fit and visual consistency so the accents support the center and follow the intended pattern.

08 / Before you source
The expressions answer different questions. One describes the growth method and the other describes a treatment process. Ask how both growth and any relevant treatment are documented for the selected goods, instead of relying on the abbreviation alone.
Include the method requirement with the sieve or diameter interval, parcel grades, quantity or total weight and documentation needs. Confirm the actual proposed batch and acceptance criteria; this sourcing page is not a live availability list.
No growth-method label replaces evaluation of the actual goods. Use the individual report or agreed parcel description, measured dimensions and visual review to decide whether the proposed selection fits the purchasing plan.
Name the finished product, method requirement, dimensions, grades, documents, quantity and destination. Explain which parameters can vary. This gives the sourcing discussion a practical starting point without assuming a universal MOQ or delivery promise.
09 / Prepare the next conversation
Start with the fixed requirements and explain where the sourcing selection can vary.
Describe the product format, design requirements, document needs and intended purchase unit. The actual selection and commercial terms are confirmed through the quotation.
